The Revd Mark Battison

The Bishop announces that The Revd Mark Battison will be leaving the Diocese to take up the job of Assistant Priest (House for Duty) in the Guilsborough Group in the Peterborough Diocese and will be licensed as such on Monday 23rd February 2009 at 7.30 pm.

Summer Concert at St Peter's Oadby

The Patronal Festival Weekend, is the date of the Summer Concert at St Peter's Oadby this year featuring the: CO-OP MALE VOICE CHOIR. Guest Artists Terri Eynon (Folk Harp) & Alison Copper (Tenor Recorder)Saturday June 28th at 7.30pm in the Church. Tickets £5 from the Parish Office or on the door.

PS: The sponsorship and involvement of the Coop with this choir is absolutely minimal. It is a group of men who enjoy singing and are happy to entertain us to help raise some money for our Appeal Fund. Please support this event!

Peter's Place Easter Workshop

At St Peter's, Oadby, Jayne and Jan are preparing for a special Peter's Place Easter Workshop from 2-4pm on Wednesday 2 April 2008.

Don’t miss the Wyvern Singers’ Concert, Saturday 8th March, 7.30pm at St Peter's Church, Oadby. Rossini – Petite Messe Solennelle. Director, Charles Paterson; Piano, Nest Harris; Organ, Simon Ainge. Four vocal soloists, including the Cathedral Precentor, Stephen Foster, and a really entertaining work that is easy to absorb without having heard it before. Interval with refreshments. Please come along for a wonderful evening’s entertainment. Buy your tickets £7 (£6) on the door.
 
A Voice for the Voiceless – Discussion and Talk led by Mr Masud Karim from Christian Aid’s partner, the Madaripur Legal Aid Association, Bangladesh. Friday 14th  March at 7.30pm, St Paul’s Church Oadby (Barnabas Centre). All welcome. A meal in Bangladeshi style will be served at 6.30pm.
